I’m part genealogist, part artist. I call my mixed-media projects “Relative” Art because they are all sentimentally created works that are designed to honor cherished family memories. While visually beautiful, my projects are meant to interact with the viewer. Whether it’s reading a small family history found in a vial on the Remembrance Box or touching the braided hair on the Horse Memorial, I believe that if the viewer is able to both see and touch a “memory”, their connection to the subject becomes personal.
